Un traguardo prestigioso di rilievo internazionale che costituisce un onore non solo per Elena Paoletti, ma per tutta la SISEF e la comunità scientifica forestale italiana.

Decisions made by the IUFRO International Council in October 2018.
Earlier this month, the representatives of the International Council (IC) of IUFRO voted on a number of recommendations resulting from the latest IUFRO Board Meeting. These recommendations included the choice of members of IUFRO’s Voting Board 2019-2024 and the host of the IUFRO World Congress 2024. Please find below the results of this voting procedure:
According to the IUFRO Statutes, Article VII.8, “… President’s Nominees will be selected to strive for a regional, gender and scientific balance and their tasks will be approved by the Board. …” The decision to increase the number of President’s Nominees is based on the desire to ensure this balance and also increase regional and fundraising expertise in the IUFRO Board.
IUFRO PRESIDENT’S NOMINEES (PN) 2019-2024:
PN for liaison with Latin America: Dr. Erich Gomes Schaitza, Brazil
PN for liaison with Russia: Dr. Olga Shaitarova, Russia
PN for liaison with Asia: Dr. Kugbo Shim, Republic of Korea
PN for liaison with Africa: Dr. Wubalem Tadesse, Ethiopia
PN for liaison with China: Dr. Xiao Wenfa, China
PN and Chair of Honors and Awards Committee: Prof. Elena Paoletti, Italy
PN and Advisor for Resource Mobilisation: Prof. (Rector) Hubert Hasenauer, Austria
The new Board will take office on the occasion of the 25th IUFRO World Congress, to be held from 29 September to 5 October 2019 in Curitiba, Brazil.
